Clearing Your Mental Desk
0 CommentsFiled Under: Great Thoughts
If your desk and your mind are cluttered it is hard to work. So do this exercise.
1/ Get a journal and sit down and do a mind dump. Write down everything that is on your mind. Takes about 15 minutes.
2/ Now sort through the list. Put a checkmark against everything that is outside your control or that requires others.
Put a star against everything that is in your control.
Now spend the next 90 days working on the ones you can control and prioritize them. There needs to be 10 or less items here.
For a more indepth version of this exercise reference my article “Journaling For Fun and Profit” at the back of Vision Values Achieving Your Goals.
